Trisha Bowyer was born with a gift for music. By age 6 she was playing Beethoven by ear and composing rock operas to the basement walls of her childhood home in West Virginia. She was raised listening to her mothers 70's folk and the 50's rock and roll of her father. In her preteen years she found refuge in the underbelly of society formally known as the metal years.  It was at this time that she stole her mothers Garcia Classical guitar and taught herself to play. Soon after she discovered the world of punk rock and industrial. With this wide verity of musical influences, she set out to create her own music that fuses a mixture of many different styles. Much of her early work is the soft and floaty singer/songwriter variety that is (too) often compared to that of Sarah McLaughlin. She fronted several local bands but ultimately she felt stifled by only writing lyrics and she felt she could create more meaningful music by writing solo. Her first serious studio work "Killed Her & Replaced Her" met with favorable reviews in 2000 but since she had no hand in producing that CD, it emerged as more glossy and commercial than she would have liked. Ever since she was been working to create something totally her own; something more raw.
